Artificial Neural Networks for Electronic Nose Measurement of Odor

Abstract:Artificial neural networks were developed to analyze odor data collected with an electronic nose (e-nose). N-butanol was used as the test odorant and measured with an Alpha MOS Fox 3000 e-nose equipped with 12 metal oxide sensors. The artificial neural networks were coded in JAVA and the back-propagation algorithm was employed for network training. Networks with different numbers of hidden units and initial weights were experimented and optimized.关键词:odor n-butanol electronic nose neural networks backpropagation algorithm
